Unlike our public cruises, a private charter is dedicated entirely to you and your guests. You have the freedom to bring your own food, drinks, and music. Whether it’s a bachelorette party, a graduation celebration, or an anniversary, we make it easy to host a floating party that people will talk about for years to come.
Hotel meeting rooms and noisy bars are a dime a dozen. Take your group out on the water. A private sail on The Spirit of Dallas is a great way to get people together without the city noise. You’ll have the entire boat and our professional crew -- all you have to do is show up.
We keep things simple. Our goal is to make sure you have a great time and a meaningful experience with the people you’re with.

No license, no gear, no memberships. Just a professional crew and a stable catamaran built for your comfort.
Our catamaran is certified for up to 34 guests. Since you’re booking the entire boat, the price remains the same whether you bring 5 people or 34.
Our standard private charter is 1.5 hours. If you’re looking for a longer outing, let us know in your inquiry and we can usually add extra time to the schedule.
We typically have other sails scheduled throughout the day, so we recommend arriving about 15 minutes before your departure. If you have a specific setup in mind (like for a micro-wedding or a surprise proposal), let us know and we’ll do our best to work with you on timing.
Yes. You are welcome to bring a full picnic spread, takeout, or catered trays. We just ask that you and your guests drink responsibly.
Save the trunk space. We have large onboard coolers stocked with fresh ice waiting for you. You just need to bring the beverages.
Definitely. The boat is equipped with a high-quality marine sound system. You can connect your phone via Bluetooth and be your own DJ for the sail.
We board at the public dock right across from the Big Thicket (410 East Lawther Drive, Dallas, TX 75218).Organizers Note (GPS Warning): Please tell your guests to avoid using Apple Maps for the address, as it often misdirects people to the wrong side of the lake. To find us easily, everyone should enter the park from the northeast side (Mockingbird, Buckner, or Northwest Highway).
We want your event to be a "visual exhale," not a rainy mess. We don't sail in the rain or high winds. If we have to cancel due to weather, we will work with you to reschedule for another date or provide a credit toward a future sail.
Private charters are a dedicated block of time on our calendar. Please refer to your booking agreement for specific refund windows, but generally, we require at least 14 days' notice for a full refund if you need to cancel for non-weather reasons.
